July 10th–14th, 2008:
In summer 2008 a very special Olympic Games took place: the
"5th World Choir Games“ featuring more than 440 choirs from 93 countries, all competing for gold, silver, and bronze. Amongst these was the don camillo chor, who took home a gold medal in the Jazz category and a silver medal in the Pop category. The prize-winning programme comprised the pieces “Good Bait“, "Chili con Carne“, "If I were a bell“ and a Jazz variation of the well-known folk song "Guten Abend, gut’ Nacht“. Of the 26 German choirs participating in the Games, only three won a gold medal. To see the full results, click here.
